Hi,
Your symptoms are suggestive of MS . The disease doesn’t kill or lead to blindness .There is hope for MS patients . Medications can help ease MS attacks and possibly slow the disease. Physical therapy and other treatments help control symptoms -- and improve your quality of life. Please go for an MRI for the diagnosis and consult a neurologist for the treatment . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !
Since you have had CAT scans, and if they were your head and/or spine, a neurologist would be able to spot the lesions typical of MS... the MRI is just an advanced study. So, if you would take those pictures and report to the neurologist, he should be able to further reassure you concerning whether you have MS or not, based on those scans.
As for you noticing other symptoms that may or may not be related to MS, it could just as well be you are perhaps somewhat nutritionally deficient, so I would suggest you eat a balanced diet of all sorts of foods, to include A and B vitamins, and also eat enough protein like eggs and drink milk. In addition, if you are on any medication, they too can cause oddball side effects. Also, could very well be your anxiety issues are what's causing you to overly focus on your health situation, and nothing more.
I hope you are receiving treatment for your panic disorder. Since your insurance has been cancelled, you can go to the county mental health clinic and they only charge what you can afford, and you can be seen by a psychiatrist there. They can give you short-term tranquilizers (Klonopin is best for panic), and also they can assign a behavioral psychologist to work with you on overcoming fears that trigger your attacks.
Also, to get the tension out of your body that happens from anxiety, you can regularly exercise to where you break a sweat, and you can visit a professional massage therapist for a few visits to work out tensed muscles. I might add that next time you feel an attack coming on, deep breathing techniques will bring down your heartrate, which also brings down your anxiety levels. You count to ten, and on count one you breathe in very deeply and blow it out slowly, then breathe shallow a couple times, and then go to count two... you probably won't get to ten because you'll feel better so rapidly by doing this.
