what can i do

1.At c5-6 There is a broad based disc herniation. bilateral foraminal osteophytes are present. there is anterior thecal sac impingement. there is also significant bilateral foraminal limpingement.   2.  at c4-5 there is a posterior disc bulge. there are bilaterale forominal impingment.   3. c3-4 there is a disc bulge with left foraminal herniation.there is sever left foraminal impingment. ther is also early anterior thecal sac impingment.  4.  at c6-7 the same as c3-4 . ive bin having bad pain and cant function normal .im always in pain and my two arms go numb to the fingers. i take vioxx, a pain patch, and neurotin. but that doesent seem to be helping its going on two years and im going mad, what can i do.

thanks for the info i go to a neurosurgeon now and he suggested that i try the injections and six more months off p/t . I want the surgery now i don't want to prolong it, Thank you for your input.

hi mikebk,
how are you? You really are in a lot of pain.
THe problem is that there are too many discs involved in your neck. Surgery would had been the best option , if only one disc was the culprit. But here, there are too many.
I would suggest you to visit an orthopaedician who specializes in spine or a neurosurgeon, who can clinically examine you and find out that of these 3-4 discs, who is the root of evil. And if it's 1 or max 2 , then i think surgery should help you.
