Hi Khalid,

I don't know about the numbness and giddiness, but muscle spasticity as seen in CP is often worsened by stress, excitement, panic and other strong feelings. My partner has worked with children who have CP, and says it was incredibly common for them to work really hard, finally manage to complete an exercise like kicking a ball or hitting a balloon, and then become so excited at the achievement that their muscles would spasm and prevent them from moving. He said that teaching the child to control their emotions could be almost more important than helping with the physical limitations.

It is very possible that the problems you are experiencing are not directly related to your CP, but through causing you to worry are making the symptoms of CP worse.  Tiredness, especially, could be making it worse as focusing becomes more difficult. The giddiness suggests a possible inner-ear infection, so I'd ask your doctor to check for that. Otherwise I notice on your profile that you suffer from BiPolar disorder (a condition we have in common) - is it possible that you're experiencing a mild episode of mania or hypomania? That would certainly explain the sleeplessness, the decline in muscle control and possibly even the speech problems as "pressured" speech is a common symptom of a manic or hypomanic episode. If I were you, I'd ask your doctor about this as well, and if they determine that you are experiencing mania, hypomania or a mixed state they should be able to provide medication to help.

Best of luck with this; I'm not much use on CP, but if you ever want to chat about BiPolar disorder send me a message.
