Cat Scan/Mylegram results

Had a fusion in June of 2010 and I just had a Ct/myleogram and xray. What does all this stuff means? It says on the xray There are 5 nonrib-beraing vertebral bodies in the lumbar spine Posterior fusion rods and pedicle screws are seen from L3 through S1 withno pedicle screws within the L5 vertebral level. Intervertebral disc space material is seen at L3-L4, L4-L5, and L5-S1. There is mild retrolisthesis of L2 on L3 and L3 on L4, which remains unchanged on extension and flexion. There is no instability upon flexion or extension. There is no lucency adjacement to the surgical hardware. Note is made of cholecystectomy clips. The CT lumbar spine post myelogram says: Postoperative changes with transpedicular screws at L3-L4 and S1 with posterior fixation rods. Anterior fusion of the vertebral bodies was performed in the L3-L4, L4-L5 and L5-S1 disc spaces. There is some distortion of the contour of the central canal due to degenerative changes of the posterior facets. In addition, there is circumferential bulge of the remaining 3-4 disc material. There is seen on the left with flattening of the thecal sac. The conus medullaris and cauda equina appear appropriate. Degenerative changes of the facets are present at L3-4, L4-5 and L5-S1. These are greater on the right than left. There is thickening of the ligamentum flavum at multiple levels. There is circumferential bulge of the residual intervertebral disc at L3-4 with left neuroforaminal encroachment.

I appreciate your expertise. Thanks

Not for this type of discs, please take a look to the FDA of this technique... dont' accept to be one of the experiment-mice !
It will take some time to collect data about damages of techniques... THIS IS NEUROSURGERY ... no one in the history of medicine succeeded to be such far from the WISE-STANDARD of the theca liberation.
surgical anterior approach with or without fusion is the solution

Dear Dr
I am having Disc Prolapse in neck since last 3 yrs.As a result my shoulders have become really hard.I tried every best treatment ranging from visiting various Orthos and Physiotherapist available but with no improvement.
My reports are-1)Loss of Cervical Lordosis
2)Posterior bulge of C4-C5 disc on left side compressing theca and left exiting nerve.
3)Posterior diffuse bulge of of C3-C4 and C5-C6 indenting theca and both existing nerve.
.
Even I underwent Electromyogram (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies which shows everything normal.

Recently I heard about Ozone Therapy.I read that in this therapy they will inject Ozone in the disc as a result the jelly like substance will be punctured and the pressure on nerve will be released. Is this therapy really good and can it be helpful in my case?

Regards
Pankajj

Excellent results after such huge surgery, pain may persist for years but you should remember how it was before surgery, try to excercise softly but daily.
you re welcome Jaqueline
