ok sure they looked up for some antibodies of Herpes but rarely could be confirmed because it is a tissue infection rather than cerebrospinal fluid.
the need of vitamins plus antineuralgics plus time is sufficient to end this state of pain
It is not allowed to prescribed meds via web sites but as a vitamin I suggest a vitamin B complex along with a higher percentage fatty diet if only allowed to you

sorry for the late answer, but no need for supplementary examinations. your pain is typical dermatomal happening in nerve inflammation in herpes zoster for example and should be treated for months and sometimes years.
minimal doses of carbamazepine controled by a professional help of a doctor are highly suggested
