i'm just tired of posting this similar question.. please help..

sir/madam,
my cousin will turn 20 on 11 June this year. She was walking fine till 13th Nov 2009. However she complained of some sensations in her feet and people could tell a deviation in her walking style. She had fever then. she had been diagnosed with stones in her bladder...that was supposedly the reason she had problems passing urine. but it was something bigger. they took her  to St.Stephens for the treatment of stones. But later realized that the virus from the fever had attacked her spinal cord and in 3-4 days, she had an attack where her lower body, starting from the chest, went numb. the condition grew poorer and then stabilized.
now, she is the way she had been for 1 year 2 months. bedridden.

the latest MRI reports say this "impression- long segment myelomalacia affecting cord segment from C7 / D1 till conus, suggesting sequale to previous inflammation".
she says the swelling is due to the injections, and not some past injury.

Can myelomalacia can be treated effectively ???
and what is the treatment ??

Please I am talking about stem cells transplantation and they ant to treat her ith homeoplathy... are you serious in asking me this question....
I am not too much optimistic yet the patient is loosing time and the percentage of success is daily decreasing by a coeficient od 1.1
I mean after a duration of 8-12 month the chances evn ith stem cells are zero in the spinal cord distally

Only a good stem cells autotransplantation can partially help after this long period of damage.

well as you said that good stem cell
auto-transplantation will help gradually..
but here in INDIA doctors say that it
would worsen her current situation as per her latest M.R.I reports

impression-
long segment myelomalacia
affecting cord segment from c7/ d1 till conus,
suggesting sequale to previous inflammation.

till her previous M.R.I report
impression-
long segment myelomalacia
affecting cord segment from
c4/ d5 till conus

they also agree with your point but now they don't..
currently her treatment plan is homopaethic and physiotherapy..

so what do u think??
