i have been seeing a health professional for some time now he tells me based on my behaviour that i have OCD...recently i have been feeling like i do not want to be friends anymore with a close friend of mine...a little bit about us is that she betrayed me once and i forgave her and everything has been good so far and now all of a sudden i feel as if i dont wanna be her friend no more can ocd use something from your past to sneak up on you and make me feel compell to end de friendship when there really is no need for me to end it?....also i been feeling like i have sinned so much that now i should become religious and i guess its okay to connect with god....but i think am going to want to make sure everything i do is religiously perfect can this also be some of the ocd as well?

I am not sure if what you are feeling is OCD or not. OCD can be so widely varied and just because its not the typical symptoms doesnt mean its not. You can always seek out a second opinion if you feel that it might not be OCD>

Based on my own experience with OCD, wanting to be religiously perfect is common in OCD. I want to say my prayers over if I mess up, say them just right, etc., even though I know it makes no sense. Many times I force myself NOT to do those things just so I don't give in to the OCD. It's difficult, though, since it causes anxiety. I have problems with bad memories and feelings coming back from my past, too, and it can hit pretty hard. I don't know if that's OCD, but it is obsessive. Take care, Mari
