OCD about walking?

Hi
I dont know if it is an OCD or not, but I have to always walk on the left side.I also always have to sit on the left side if in a car, or while sharing a cab. Its not like a get crazy or upset if I dont get to walk on the left it just makes me very uncomfortable, like when you are trying to sleep and dont get the most comfortable position to sleep in. I dont want to tell this to people when I am walking and am constantly trying to walk faster or slower to come on their left. When I tried to tell some people, they think of its as bizarre. I know one more girl who has a problem like mine of walking on the left side. She was my room-mate and it was very difficult for us to go out some place walking :P.
I want to understand why do I have this problem and what can I do about it. I have learnt to live with it, but I wish I didn't have to.

As an OCD sufferer, we develop our own coping strategies which is what you have done.  But this isn't something you have to live with.  You don't want to and the good news is there is help out there for you.  The help comes from a psychologist.  Do you have access to psychologists where you live?
