Bad Words

I am new to this forum.  My psychologist told me I have a mild case of OCD.  One of my symptoms is saying bad words in my head.  This happens especially when I am praying.  It bothers me a lot.  I don't know what to do to make it stop.  I know it is the OCD, but I feel like it is hampering my prayers.  Has this happened to anyone else?  What can I do about it?

Thanks for your help.

No, your prayers are fine no matter what comes to your head during, before or after the prayer. Blasphemous OCD is common. If thta keeps bothering you please see a psychotherapist.

I agree that bad words and or thoughts while praying cannot invalidate your prayers.

Thank you for telling me that!  I know it in my head, but I can't convince myself of that in my heart.  I fee like I am failing God, like I am making him cry over my bad actions.  Have you ever felt that way?  How do you get over it?

Thanks

I know someone who couldn't pray because of bad thoughts. It is often OCD and just try to ignore them. They don't invalidate your prayers.
