well, I've never tried to stop , I have been rocking since I was born. but when I want to go camping for 3 or 4 days or a trip, i get dis oriented for atleast a week or so.
I'm wondering if what you are experiencing is actually anxiety due to having to go somewhere where you cannot be alone to do your rocking? It is possible to hyperventilate without even realizing you are doing it. The next time this happens, try this breathing technique and see if it makes you feel better.
Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for 5 seconds and count this out in your head, then let it all out through your mouth. You can practice this lying down at first but it is a breathing technique that you can do anywhere at any time and nobody will even know you are doing it.
