Question about hole in skin?

I woke up a few weeks ago with a neat, perfectly round little puncture wound on my thumb. I have no idea how it got there, but I do know that my brother is HIV positive and I'm worried he might have tried to inject me while I was sleeping. I don't know if I would feel a needle stick/injection while I am asleep? I would like to think that wasn't what happened, but I have no idea how else this little puncture wound and pin prick could have gotten on my thumb. I just can't imagine what else could have caused something like this, something that looks small and perfectly round.

I don't know your brother so I can't say anything about him and what he is capable of doing or not doing.  I can tell you that I have stuck myself with a needle at work and there is no mistaking that I did.  It hurts and it bleeds.  Think about getting your blood drawn.  It hurts.  I think this is irrational thinking and I'm sure your test will be negative based on the this irrational thought.

I understand what you're saying, but I'm concerned. I mean, a puncture wound that is exactly round that looks the perfect mark from a needle doesn't appear often on my skin. Yes, I have eczema on my hands, and sometimes that leaves marks, but this looked *too much* like it was from a needle.

Plus, look what somebody else said on yahoo answers, and I didn't even write that I thought my brother did it:

I'm getting an RNA test tomorrow, we'll see what that brings.

Hi there.  It looks like Nursegirl already had a lengthy conversation with you about this on the Anxiety Forum.  Anything I write would be the same as Nursegirl wrote so please follow her advice.
