Foot & Leg Pain

Hello, I am experiencing terrible Foot pain. starts from my left hip and runs down to my foot. It is a shart pain. The pain doesn't remain in my hip, but my foot has constant pain. I have seen a Podiatrist and was given cortisone shots, that did not help at all. Let me back up a bit. I was diagnosed with a pinched nerve in my back. I went through treatment ( 3 injections in my back) over 3 weeks. My back pain is gone, but weeks later, I developed this leg and foot pain. I returned to my neurologist and was told I will have some pains from time to time. This pain has gotten progressivly worse. Last week, I returned to my General practice Doctor to start over because the pain is becoming dibilatating, he took blood and put me on prednisone. I don't know where to go from here or what to do. I can't keep a shoe on my foot for long periods of time and I am limping daily. As the day goes on, the pain gets worse. I have not gotten a full nights sleep in months. Oh, by the way, they have ruled out arthritis, and gout.  If anyone can hlep, please give me any advise you have. Thank you

I limp like you and it's no fun.I went to all different kind of Dr's and this is the first one that really helped me.He said he wanted to fix me instead of give me pills or shots,so i hope this helps you and good luck.

hi buddy,
this mimicks like a sciatica pain, which is like a sharp shooting pain from hip, radiating to the hips.i think you should go and see an orthopaedician or a spine surgeon or a neurosurgeon as all three can help you. You also need to strengthen your back muscles, else this pain will be bothering you persistently. so take care and meet the doctor.
Physiotherapy will be of great help, else this problem will go on increasing.
regards
