Hello!

Do not play golf; you can do walking and day to day activities. With golf you use weight bearing and all the functions to keep your knee stabilized and get your menisci into action.

Menisci help to protect your cartilage and to distribute weight across your knee joint. Therefore, the function of the meniscus is critical to the health of your knee.

Take care!

Couldn't help myself from responding to another thrilled Canadian. I have been waiting fr surgery #3 since November! They think "maybe" June which will turn into Sept.,I'm sure.In the mean time, I can hardly walk never mind do my normal household jobs and the Dr. highly suggests nottaking pain killers! What a joke! I have been down since Nov., of '08 so, no hurry! Ha!  Good luck with your knee hope you are treated soon.

Hi,
Did you tear the lateral or medial meniscus. I tore my right lateral meniscus and am currently doing rehab in an attempt to avoid surgery. The good news is that if you are a right handed golfer then a tear in the left knee meniscus would be much worse. A knee support will help and you should be able to play without causing more damage. However itf hurts or locks stop right away.

I've uploaded pictures of my tear on my profile. Do you have any that you have uploaded?
