I dont have the answer. However I was diagnosed with this about 10 years ago.Unfortunately I was told there was no cure and would have to live with it.I had a job where I was on my feet all day on concrete.I made dinner for my kids(3 kids solo parent) on my knees.Every morning it was worse.I even thought about killing myself after putting up with it for 5 years.Eventually I changed jobs and drove around the country selling as a Sales Rep.It didnt go away.I became a full time Gardener and it eventually disappeared. No weight loss was involved. However crouching to do gardening does streach the foot.Moving around more might have been helpful.Though I believe that once the feet are inflamed this would not work.Finding a chance to take the pressure off the inflamation is hard if you have to go to work everyday.A relative of mine had an operation for it and her feet still hurt a lot but not the same as before.

I have also self-diagnosed plantar fasciitis.  I have found a great orthopedic product called heel seats (www.heelseats.com).  They are very inexpensive and feel really strange - even uncomfortable - at first, but they help to stretch and strengthen the tendon and reduce pain.  I wore them consistently for a few months, then less regularly.  After a while I didn't need to wear them at all, but this summer I have started experiencing pain again and will need to order a new pair.  Good luck!

Hello Dear,
You should get the diagnosis of plantar fasciitis confirmed .The treatment consists of rest, NSAIDs and exercise. Try to keep weight off your foot until the inflammation goes away.Application of ice may give some relief. You should consult an orthopedic physician.Once the diagnosis is confirmed you should consult a physiotherapist.
