Right thenar muscle atrophy

Hi. I am 33 years old male. I have been working on construction site for the past 8 years. Last year I noticed pain in right hand and slowly it started getting weaker and pain stronger. I took off and went to doctor who told me that I have "thenar muscle atrophy". He gave me few workouts I can fix the "mobility", but I don't see improvements. Did anyone experienced anything like that?

After I googled a little, I panicked when I found what a thenar muscle athrophy might stand for: https://www.symptoma.com/en/ddx/thenar-muscle-atrophy

So I changed my doctor, I passed a lot of tests to check causes and reasons.
Nothing severe could be found but I got some lessons at a physical therapist and those really helped me a lot!
