Thanks so much for the help Dr. G, at difficult times like this it is nice to know that there are compassionate people like yourself, willing to help for the sake of helping.
Hi.
I am very sorry to hear that. However, if there is any way you can consult a physician for your condition, please do so as soon as possible.
Also, please do not put weight on the affected knee. if possible, immobilize it for the moment or use compression bandages.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for responding Doc.
It is very painful, still cannot bear weight. There is a little swelling. There is no tenderness to the touch of or around the kneecap. It actually feels like it hurts inside the knee, if that makes sense.
I started using nsaids and cold packs, to no avail as of yet. I do not have any health Insurance, so must do as much as I can for myself, unless absolutely nessessary.
Hi.
There are many conditions that would result from what you did but probably the most likely is you strained (rule-out tear) a ligament or a tendon which caused the pain.
Is there still pain now? How about swelling? You should apply ice and take anti-inflammatory/analgesic medications to relieve the pain and swelling if present. You should also have it checked by your orthopedist to properly evaluate your condition.
Hope this helps.
