Wrist Pain Finding

What does this mean: "Ulnar Joint appears widened with apparent subluxation of the ulna".

Thanks!

My x-ray report said it was normal, but my Primary Care Phycician said my unla looked far apart from my radius and said it could be a ligament issue, so she ordered the MRI.

It came back with a ganglion cyst and "mild heterogenity of the bone marrow of the lunate without associated edema".  I saw an ortho doctor who told me he didn't know what that meant and didn't see anything surgical and told me he couldn't help me.

I do have a second opinion, and saw the comment about the ulnar subluxation mentioned on the MRI report under "signs and symptoms".

Hello!

Distal radio ulnar joint should be properly visualized by an X-ray scan. Acute dislocations and subluxation of the distal radio-ulnar joint (DRUJ) may be isolated or associated with radial head fractures.

After a proper diagnosis start conservative treatment with the help of your orthopedician. Surgery is also an alternative.

Take care!
