ankle problems

I have a torn archilles tendon, a tear in the post tibial tendon. this pushed my heel (left foot)  to the outside of my footm there by causing my arch and foot to colapse. An orthopedic doctor, told me he was going to make three incisions to repair this. However he did not tell me the name of the proceedures, or show me my MRI, or give my diagnosis to me so I can look up exactly what is to be done to me. How should I approach this situation. He also has stated my pain specialist should attend me for post op pain. My pain specialist is treating me for cervical pain and does not want to prescribe for the post op pain. I am stuck with several situations that I am not sure how to resolve. I want to understand the surgery, see my MRI report, and make sure my pain issues are addressed. None of that has been done for me. any ideas in this good community?   I had been misdiagnosed for 7 years, and have been in pain all this time. ginnie

I received no other replies to my knowledge. If I didn't thank you  it was because I didn't know I got a responce. I was informed by moderator that I need to thank three people. I DO thank you, but somehow I did not get the posts. I am not good on the PC, and I do not know what happened. I still need help, and didn't know someone was replying to me. ginnie

Hey Ginnie!

It would be difficult to comment on the situation without knowing the relevant clinical details such as the exact issue(s), their severity and the exact procedure planned. Every patient has right to information and it would be best to discuss the situation and the management plan in detail with your treating orthopedician.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
