I also have dupuytrens, in both hands and both feet. It is developing very fast. One new treatment I have found on the Net is radiotherapy. The side-effects are said to be neglibible and the results positive IF and only if, the treatment is done in the early stage, before contracture. There are centres for this in various countries esp. Germany and one in the UK in Poole. I'll post my results but you should look it up now as you can't leave it too late. Good luck. Jannlamp
hi. has anyone else out there ever been treated for dupuytrens contracture? i'm not getting good news at all and was wondering what options were available. thank you, gm
Hi. Thank you for the advice! gm
It looks like the Dupyutren's contracture.
You should try few of steroid(cortisone) shots to help you release it.
Rest to the particular finger which is causing maximum pain and slowly starting your Guitar practice is what i can see as of now.
Take some anti inflammatory drugs whenever you have pain.
Follow up near a good orthopaedician.
Take care!
