I had to have total knee replacement on my knee in 2003 now after 3 operations I am left with a partial bent knee and missing out on life. Is there any hope for me?

I have had 3 operations on the same knee, so my doc. said he  would not want to go in again. he  said it's scar tissue and to just use a brace it will sooner or later work. Well I am alone here and putting it on right not to good or by now guess i should be better but i am not. I am now trying golf ball circles on the area and my daughter told me about ultra sound for it so i am looking into that. Thank You for responding

Hello.  I am not a doctor, but an athletic trainer.  As an athletic trainer, I specialize in orthopedic injuries.  I help prevent, diagnosis and rehabilitate injuries.

I like to think there is always hope.

Have you gone to another surgeon for another opinion?  Do you know what is limiting your ability to straighten your leg?  Is it scar tissue?  If so, they can remove that.  You will have to go to physical therapy again, but it should help you regain your motion.

I'm sorry that you are having such issues.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
