Stretched shoulder joints

I have a big bump on my left collar bone which is part of my shoulder popping up because the legiments or something were stretched from a hockey injury about 2 years ago.. I took a brake from working out for about the same length of time and now that im getting back into it im realizing its really hindering my ability to get a good work out in because my shoulder cant support the weight.. i was wondering if anyone knows of any techniques to tighten the legiments back up or if surgery is a good option i went to the doctor but he wasn't very informative so im hoping someone on here who has had a similar injury could help me with some imput...
thanks in advance

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

Get some scans done.

X-ray scans will rule out any bony injuries or past bony complications.

MRI will diagnose any soft tissue complications in your ligaments, muscles etc.

Only after a diagnosis a suitable treatment plan can be designed. Follow up with an orthopedician for a proper examination.

Take care!
