retrocalcaneal bursitis

Hello my name is Meir i'm 26 y.o and i've got Achilles Tendonitis (retrocalcaneal bursitis).

All started two years ago when i began to run uphill on the park, while i always used to run on flat surfaces (Without slopes) at that same time i started to feel the pains after running at the back of the ankle in the attachment of the achilles tendon. (right leg)

it's important to say that i used run a lot on flat surfaces without pains and no arch support even though i have some flatfoot, So that i'm quite sure that the cause of my injury is running uphill which required much more efforts.

The MRI shown that achilles tendon is o.k, but there is fluid in the retrocalcaneal bursa, my ankle isn't swollen like in other cases and i do not feel pain when i pinch the tendon from both sides, the pain is actually in the bone where the tendon is attached.

The doctor sent me to physiotherapy, i did mostly shockwave therapy and wore orthotics but it didn’t really help, the pain was still there though that I didn’t feel it over all the day, but only at some point of time in the day. (stretching the tendon only worsening my pain)

Throughout the last year of 2015 I went only with orthotics it made some relief and I decided to try to run initially I didn’t feel the pain but after some rounds I did, and only in the end of running and the day after, never at the time of running.

I quitted running again and I decided to try to strength my calf muscles with calf raise exercise when lifted myself with only one leg the right leg (the injured leg) I worsen it some and now it feels like the period it started, I really don’t know what to do I’m so  desperate I want to back running again.

I want to check out other treatments before taking injections or surgery.

If someone had the same experience or similar, please tell me what helped you or what may possibly help me ?

please give your comments. Thank in advance.
