I want to pass onto you this story of love, you all remember me telling you about the flood we had here last June, it took out the entire facility where Leslee worked and where I had worked until retirement. This facility serves 450 adults with disabilities. Leslee was the driving force in seeing that "her people" had some enjoyment at work, she collected games, music, and anything she she could figure out that these people missed in their lives. She called me and told me she wanted a pop corn popper and a snow cone machine, so I went and got them. Everything was lost in the flood, this really bothered her and we were making plans to replace both of these. Her husband and girls went out and bought a theather size pop corn popper and a snow cone machine last week and presented it to the facility, on the front of the machine was a little placque, " all it will cost you is a smile" which was what Leslee always answered, when they would ask her how much?
