Ouch! I had a bowel infection (divert.) earlier this year and the pain was horrendous. I can only guess how bad a blockage can be. Way more pain than the one little spot I had. I'm so sorry this happened and at such a crucial time. Hope they clear it up and out soon.

I never made it to PMH today. I was re-admitted to the hospital last night with a bowel obstruction. My kidney function isn't good...I'm in so much pain.

Thanks again everyone...

I'm home now...surgery went well yesterday. They stented my right side but, as predicted, the doctor wasn't able to get past the blockage in my left ureter. So, now I have a nephrostomy bag on my left side and a stent on my right - not fun at all, I assure you...

The general anesthetic has totally shut my system down so I'm popping laxatives and Lactulose trying to un-clog myself - it's not working too well, especially when I'm in pain and need to take percocets. Today will be a long day...

I have my appointment with the surgeon tomorrow in Toronto. I'm really nervous and anxious - this is the big one. The one where he'll say yes or no to surgery.  I am hoping and praying that he says yes - I look at myself right now and wonder how I'm supposed to live my life full of bags and tubes. I just want the chance to get rid of all of this and be somewhat normal again...if it doesn't work, then it doesn't work - at least someone tried. That's all I'm asking for...
