I agree with TrudieC, I wouldnt the say 2nd is a breeze but pretty close to it. I had my hysterectomy when I was 25 back in the 80's and I was so scared of having a 2nd abdominal surgery because it was really hard. I was up and walking the next day, I was in the hospital for about 10 days. What I didnt realize is that the pain meds is by your side in this pump that you push that was new to me. Oh, and I didnt have to wear this gridle looking thing on to walk around lol. But like you, I was deathly afraid of the pain but things have changed so much since I had my first abdominal surgery. Good Luck and do take it easy even though you feel good.

I've had two surgeries (C section cut) for ectopic pregnancies, three surgeries for bowel issues and a laporatomy for my cysts. I actually find them easier to recover from which is likely due to understanding what is going on. As long as you are healthy going in the recovery is easier. I was not in good health with my first ectopic surgery and took much longer to recover from it than the 2nd one. I had been exercising and was in good shape before the 2nd one so that may have made the difference.
