Fluid build-up with Ovarian Cancer

BRAND NEW TO THIS SITE* Is it possible for the fluid build-up (ascites?) that is from the ovarian cancer to enter the lungs? Also when vomitting occurrs, does the fluid come out???  Learning more and more about the cancer every day. VERY curious and concerned about my mother who has stage 3c ovarian cancer, diagnosed in Feb, and had a total hysterectomy Feb 24. Waiting for our chemo apt within the next 2 weeks.  Help is appreciated!!

Sorry to hear about your mother, it is not an easy battle to fight, but, there are many survivors.

I do not believe that ascites are released through vomiting....the ascities could be within the abdominal cavity and inside the intestines.  It is best controlled with chemo.  Ovarian cancer can spread to the lungs as well as other organs.

There will be many others that will come along to offer advice and comfort.

Best of luck to your entire family....if you need anything, remember we are all here to help you and your family through this.
