Hemorrhagic Cystic

I am 33 y/o blk female police officer/medic and currently in Rn school. I had painless swelling 2 weeks ago in my crotch area( look like I was wearing a jock strap). Was sent for a transvaginal which found a normal cyst with vascular flow on lt ovary.

However, the right adnexa measures 3.3x2.4x3.7cm dem. complex mass measuring 1.8x1.5x1.8
she stated to me it was a cyctic structure with hemorrhage and debris but they dont want to exclude a tumor, also there was noted vascular flow.

I have history of tubal and was up until this point contemplating another child with my 2nd husband I have 14 yearold and 10 year old.

But I am very nervous about this.. there is not significant medical history in my family that i know about except there deceased.  Currently waiting for a ca 125 test which will be normal from what I was told? My nerves are shot I have to take some time off from work which is unlimited for a year thank god. What are my options? Do I need surgery? will I need to have my ovary removed and if so how are would it be for me to concieve if I do consider another child?

hi There,
Ca 125 of 9.9 is perfect. repeating an ultrasound in 6 weeks is just right.

hi there,
Good luck with all your work and school. That is really awesome!

The most likely situation is that you have a cyst of ovulation that had some bleeding. The standard followup is to repeat the ultrasound after a menstrual cycle or 2.  It is important that you ave a pregnancy test if you have not already had one. If yu had an ectopic tubal pregnancy, you do have a risk for another one.

It is always best to preserve your ovaries until you have completed child bearing. As you age, the ovaries are not as productive so best not to lose any normal ovarian tissue

best wishes

Ok, I got my results from my Ca 125 test she stated that it was 9.9. Is that high or low? I am not really sure of what the markers are. She states she would like to repeat my ultrasound in 6 weeks to see if the cyst will resolve itself. Should I be aggressive? or just wait? I know they say that these things go away on there own, but again I do have some concern. I don't have any swelling, just the mid to lower back pain, and the right sided abdominal pain.

When does a cyst need to be removed? I have a simple cyst on my right ovary that is only 3cm diameter at last check. It was the same 2 months earlier. I have a pendunculated solid mass the size of my thumbnail on my left ovary. If we go in for removal of the left ovary and mass is it wise to at least remove the cyst from the right? I am 46 years old.

Although, I am happy that those results are music to my ears. I now have pain on my right side... It does not help that I have to put on 50lbs of gear every day.. Could the cyst be bigger? I don't see any swelling,or bloating but it has become more uncomfortable for me to sit for a long period of time. Should I go back to see my doc?
