Sharon, glad for the thoroughness and for the fact you don't need chemo. I do so hope your BP and other issues level out soon.
I'm glad to hear your docs are really doing such a good job of making sure your results are verified again, and I pray there's no call about any change in the report.
You know I'll be around to give you support when January rolls around for your follow up.
hugs
Valerie
TY again ladies.
The oncology doc will call me if there is a change in pathology results. If not, my
follow up is Jan 16th.
My PCP is scheduling me for many tests (blood, echo, x-rays) on Nov 6th. For now
since I am managing well there was no need to change BP meds (though that is what
I really wanted).
I feel blessed to have found this forum. The waiting is so tolerable when you find you are
not alone and there are people who care.
God Richly Bless You,
Love,
Sharon
I think theya re being cautious because borderline is truly a hard to diagnose subspecies of cancer. One aspect they really need to be clear on is whetehr there were any invasive implants or not. That is a major factor in treatment and followup.
I have had my pathology reread as it wasn't even that clear in the 1st report what the decision was (seemed to onc that my age played a factor in their interpretation.......) Borderline are supposed to be rarer too (though it seems from our forum to be quite prevalent) so path labs have less experience reading these since they don't see them as often.
By having the pathology reread, I now have some comfort that the specifics are correct, though I would even be happy to go with 3 readings to feel really sure as I really wouldn't like to do as one local doctor said and wait for a recurrence to confirm.........
Hey - can't hurt to have lots of eyes looking at the report. I am guessing they are all reading it because Borderline Tumors look different then later stage cancers.
It will be interesting to see if they all say the same thing.
Good luck and the doctor today, hopefully they can find ways to boost your energy....and let us know what the final outcome of the pathology is.
