two weeks ago I woke up with sever pain in my lower right stomach. The doctor had me get a CT scan to see if it was appendicitis, but it turned out to be a ruptured ovarian cyst. my doctor prescribed birth control to keep the cysts from forming. I started the pills the next day. One week later, I started experiencing nausea and depression. I felt like I didn't want to eat, and I threw up but felt better later on. I thought it was a side effect of the pill, which I stopped taking after this incident. (I didn't consult my doctor, only because I am fifteen and am on a vacation without my parents. My mom however called the doctor and he prescribed a new brand of pills which I am starting tomorrow. He didn't specify whether or not I should continue the current pills, so I stopped taking them.) Now, today, I am feeling nauseous again and have thrown up three times in four hours. It mostly seems to happen when I move. Could this be a lasting side effect from the pill? Last time I had no fever, but now I do. Is this a side effect, or do I have the flu? was it wrong to stop the pills? Are there any alternatives to birth control that I could take? thanks
additional info: My period is irregular and I did not have it for three months until shortly after starting the pill. It is only now starting to stop, and has lasted about fifteen days. Do I have the flu, or is this another side effect from the pill?
