ovarian cyst?

hello,
i have been living with pelvic pain for years. i am 28 with 2 kids. in 2008 i had a diagnostic lap for pelvic pain and it came back normal. i also had a ct scan in 2009 with and without contrast also came back normal. for the past 6 months i have had a bad pain on my left side. goes into my hip feals like the ovulation pain you get but i have it every day, worse with menstration. i havent been back to a doctor as i have no insurance right now but i am starting to worry about ovarian cancer. no  bleeding or anything elese just the pain with some bloating. is it possible that cancer could grow since my last ct? are these normal cys symptoms? i thought cysts only last a few months. thanks for any advice

Yea the symptoms are pretty common with ovarian cysts sometimes they dissolve/rupture and go away on there own, and sometimes they don't. I have that pain daily bc I have a large complex cyst hanging around ugh I would suggest getting to the doctor as soon as you can bc with ovarian cysts cancer is always a concern. Best wishes BB

Cysts can cause plenty of discomfort and symptoms and still be benign. Some form and  never go away without medical or surgical intervention. You will not know what you have without a gyn exam and ultrasound. Ask a gynecologist what these tests cost and see if you are able to afford it without insurance. Ultrasound can be done right in a gynecologist's office and are much less harmful and expensive than a CT scan which can use an excessive amount of radiation.
