what kind of laxative can I take 24 hours after having an ovarian cystectomy and I if I have slight abdominal swelling from the surgery
Totally agree with Jessrae try high fibre & high protein first then if that doesn't work ask ur pharmacist for advice or call ur doc so they can tell u which is appropriate for u

My doctor had me take docusate sodium (also known as colace) which is a softner, high fiber, high protein diet... As well as told me if needed I could take a herbal laxative, like Sennakot. Can also talk to a pharmacist and ask them what their thoughts are to make sure you dont have one too intense(lack of better word) for you.
