Sorry you have this cyst. I had one the same size. It was benign (non-cancerous). If you do not have a predisposition / family history of ovarian cancer, then your lifetime risk is less than 2%. Hope your surgery goes well.
I also have been given the report on Monday of a 9 cc mass on my right ovary, I go in for surgery on Oct 23rd, I am hoping since they delayed it to that time I believing it something that I need not to worry about, I am in constant pain, sometimes with nausea. I had a partial Hysterectomy over 20 so years ago and thought that they had taken my left ovary only to find out I still have both. I am trusting the Lord that it is benign simple as that... for those of you that are out there, be in agreement with me that this is the case... Thanks..
No I do not. I had a VU today and she said I had a Ovarian Mass. Thats all. So I am waiting for my doctor to call me. But yes I was worry. But I know God is my healer.....Thanks I will keep yall posted.
Hi and welcome. A lot of times, doctors use the terms mass and ovarian cyst interchangeably. Sometimes "cyst" is referred to as a simple or fluid filled cyst, and mass refers to a complex (fluid and solid filled cyst) or solid cyst. Unless your doctor has give you reason to worry, try to stay calm and remember that the words are often used interchangeably. Do you know what kind of cyst you have? Good luck and let us know how you are doing.
THANK YOU SO MUCH.. I WAS GETTING WORRIED.....NOW I FEEL BETTER
