Post Surgery - Updates, Advice, Aches, Numbness?

My laparoscopic surgery was on June 10th and relatively successful.  Surgery was on a Thursday and I was definitely able to return to work on Monday (but i didn't).  I had three small incisions...one under the bellybutton and two on each side of the pelvic region.  I bypassed the Percocet and kept Tylenol 400 mg close by.  THe most painful aspect of the surgery was the gas that they pumped into my system.  Ridding my body of the gas was the worst part.  A few helpful tips provided by the one and only...MOMMA...and these worked!
1. stay away from ice or cold drinks as it makes the gas worse...water water water water
2.  fresh ginger ginger ginger in black or green tea (chewing it if you an tolerate the taste is good too)
3.  a 1/2 teaspoon of black caraway seeds before meals (this helped tremendously with gasssssss)
4.  fennel seeds (another form of gas relief)
5.  walking around helps (yet another tip to release gas)
6.  pure cran or cherry juice to detox
I'm waiting to see what my first menstrual cycle after laparosopic surgery will be like.......soon come.
As far as activity, i've been keeping it minimal...walks, stretching, etc.  I can't wait to run again.
The only thing that concerns me is the slight heaviness/weakness that is still lingering in my left leg...the top of my big left toe is still slightly numb.
Has anyone experienced any numbness prior to surgery and after?  If so, how long before all went back to normal?  HELPPPPPP!

Hi
Hope you have recovered completely soon after your op.

I am facing the same dilemma whether to go for surgery or try TCM or Acupuncture.

Thanks very much
