STD or Irritation

I'm on my period and out of no where I get a bump on my vulva (I believe that's the correct term). It's very sensitive and I switched pads it seems to have cut down on the irritation. What caused it and could it be an STD?

It could just be an irritation since your hormones are going crazy at this time and everything is a little extra sensitive down there, but just to be sure, I would recommend seeing your doctor about it. I hope you feel better!

It could be either. The only sure way to know is if you see your OB.
