Trouble after cyst and left ovary and tubes removal

It's been 4 weeks since I had my left ovary, tubes and a dermoid cyst removed. The pain I experienced was much worse than I was prepared for. After 3 days I was able to get up and down without help. After 6 days I was back pushing myself to take care of the house and kids, After 2 wks I called the doc because I was getting a pinching feeling on my left side by my belly button and a day later my belly button started bleeding. I called the doc was not alarmed and told my to take in easy and put ice on it. The pain in my side started to get increasing worse. I went to my post op visit and he said everything looked good. Four days later I wasn't able to get out of bed because of a horrlble stabbing pain..almost as bad as after surgery. I went into the doc's office and he gave me a prescription for antibiotics and vicodin. After 1 day of antibiotics I experienced relief. Now 7 days later the stabbing feeling though not as bad is back but moved closer to my belly button. It hurts the most in the morning when I'm trying to get out of bed or after I've been still for while. The doc again is not alarmed. I've been running a low grade fever for weeks. The area above my belly button is still swollen..unable to wear my jeans comfortably. I guess I wanna know if what I'm feeling is normal. I just don't feel right. My antibiotics are almost gone and the doc doesnt think I need more. I need advice or to atleast hear what others have experienced, Thank you..I know this was pretty long.

I'm sure you're right. I have 6 kids..4 full time and 2 more on weekends. I'm a housewife and I take my job seriously. I know I jumped into things too soon. The nurses and doc didn't stress enough the importance of taking it easy or not to lift my two yr old, vacuum..all the things I do every day. The first it was stressed to me was when I called with the pinching feeling. Everyone acted as if it was minor surgery..no big deal. I had my tubes tied 2 yrs ago and didn't have any problems. Idk..thanks for taking the time to comment.

One theory I have is that you may have done too much too soon after surgery. I do not know if it damaged any of the internal sutures or not.  The doctor does not seem concerned so I guess that is good since he knows you better than we do. Still running a fever means there's an infection, one would think, unless you picked up a seasonal illness like a cold or flu.  Mostly, you have to revert back to the "take it easy mode" you were in post op when pain flares up. You can set back (increase) recovery times by doing too much. Lifting and vacuuming are big culprits that can cause pain even after we are told it is OK to do so.
