What is the meaning of an Irregular Thick Walled Cyst?
My girlfriend in Nigeria has just been told that she has an irregular thick walled cyst of 20.9mm on her left overy, what should she do next?
Obviously the medical system in Nigeria is not up to European standards and she has limited options.

She is still suffering great pain and has been in and out of hospital. Seeing a gynaecologist seems a long way off for most people in Nigeria, however Antibiotics is the first step that she can reasonably expect due to the limited medical cover.

Although the cyst is not very large, it can be the cause of pain. Other factors like pelvic infection and endometriosis need to be excluded. Medical therapy in the form of antibiotics for the infection or hormonal therapy for the cyst may help. If not then removal may be considered. Consult a gynaecologist for an evaluation.
