Can anyone help

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could help answer my questions.

I was on the depo contraceptive shot and had 2 of them (I do not wish to continue) I was fine with my first shot but on the second one I was bleeding for over 8 weeks. My doc sent me to hospital for blood tests (which came back ok) and also for a US. But I don't have a clue what the results mean.

Here is an excerpt from  the letter:

The uterus is anteverted and normal in size with a uniform myometrial and endometrial thickness. The endometrial thickness is within normal limits, measuring 5.6mm.

Both ovaries are slightly enlarged and contains more than 12 follicles less than 10 mm in diameter.

My partner and I are trying to get pregnant and I was wondering if this would hinder my chances.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the answers. I went to the doctors yesterday and Im going to be tested for PCOS which by the sounds of it they think I have. Just a bit worried as I wanted to try to conceive ASAP

It sounds normal to me as well. I had the same issue with bleeding for 4 months straight on the depo shot. I eventually stopped it.

Hope everything goes well and good luck!

Sounds mostly normal.  You might have had a bit of a hormone imbalance from the depo.  Nothing there to indicate you could not conceive.  The doctor should answer questions if you call and ask.
