I'd check with your doctor. I'll give you this for a pointer though. Working out/lifting weights, studies show that there is a lot more benefit to working out earlier. Something like 4-6 might be better. The reason being, you get the motor all wound up, hormones running wild, testerone production is way up.... you've got to cool down before going to bed.
Get a good workout, eat a small meal and just relax.
i talked to my doctor and she gave me a handout of things to avoid when you can't sleep the number one thing i was doing wrong was drinking sodas to close to bed time :)
