It takes time to recover from a pulled muscle and takes very little to re-injure it. It may take 4-6 weeks to start to feel normal again. If in that time you don't see improvement you should see your Doctor. Until then, you should relax and don't over do it. Please take care,

thank for you reply.. so im assuming that all thse tests have came back fine, that it probably is just a pulled chest muscle..the pain went away for about a day.. but i probably reinjured it as i have a 3yr old..that im always picking up..Im kinda just looking for some kind of relief, like something i can take or do to make it better!!
Hi Mandyspain,
Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am glad that you found us but sorry to hear about your pain.
Mollyrae has offered you some good information and I agree with her. You are most likely not resting that muscle(s) as much as you should. Picking up your daughter may be re-injuring it. At the very least it is aggravating it and slowing the healing process. But I know, how can you resist picking up your beautiful daughter?
Contrary to popular belief a "sprain" (which often is another name for a pulled muscle), can be more painful than a fracture. It also can take just as long to heal, or longer if not treated properly. So when some one says, "Oh it's just a sprain (pulled muscles)" it can be just a serious pain wise as a fracture (break).
Three ECG's would have revealed any cardiac problems. I assume you are young with a 3 year old and cardiac problems are also less likely in the young. Females often have different signs and symptoms than males do when experiencing a Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI). According to recent studies extreme and unusual fatigue is often the most prevalent symptom, unusual fatigue (70.6-percent), sleep disturbance (47.8-percent), and shortness of breath (42.1-percent). The study also indicated that fewer than 30% reported having chest pain or discomfort prior to their heart attacks, and 43% reported have no chest pain during any phase of the attack. My best friend (48 year old female) had an AMI and experienced no chest pain what so ever, only shortness of breath and perspiring.
I hope the above information along with Mollyrae's gives you some peace of mind. Don't misunderstand me, chest pain should never be ignored by females or males.
Please keep in touch and let us know how your healing is progressing. We'll look forward to your updates.
Take care, Tuck
