Hello and Welcome to our Pain Management Forum. I'm sorry to hear about your painful area.
If you wish to ask a physician there is a "Ask a Doctor" feature/option on the upper right hand side of your screen. I do believe there is a fee involved.
As Molly said there are multiple reasons that could be causing your discomfort. Only a physician can determine the exact cause.
It sounds like you are describing rib pain to me. Rib pain can be due to inflammation, trauma, sprains or strains of the muscles or other such conditions. I have a fibro-cystic condition of my breast tissue which causes rib pain frequently, it also causes breast pain. This was DX (diagnosed) by a physician.
If your pain persists please consult your medical provider. I wish you the best and hope you'll keep in touch.
Take Care,

Hello hafsah01,
While I am not a Doctor I may be able to give you my opinion.
I have experienced this on multiple occasions and it was nothing more than indigestion. Sometimes when indigestion occurs in this area you may also feel a sharp pain located high on the rib area.
The pain located in that area can also be due to muscles as there are many in that area.
I would suggest that if this continues, to seek out help from your Doctor.
My best,
Mollyrae
