Sunshine,
I so hope you will get to college very soon. You are so very young. Never give up your dreams. Hold on to them tight. They are often all I have to get me through a bad night. I think we are nothing without a dream...no matter what it may be.
We'll be waiting to hear how you are doing.
Peace, Tuck
THANKS FOR ALL THE POSITIVE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS! I also wish everyone the best for their own personal struggles! I am hoping this procedure is going to relieve some of the pain, I know realistically I will never be at 100 % again and Im ok with that, anything will be better than where I am now.
I have two parts of the spine finally diagnosed (cervical and thoracic) Im having the thoracic discectomy first, then a cervical discectomy.....I have only one more part to go and then I think I will be good for the rest of my life lol ! Who new at 19 I would have all these back problems.......
Take care everyone
Hi, I am so glad you have finally gotten a DX and now you can get the treatment and help you need:)
Happy, Positive thoughts and prayers to you~ I hope that we hear some good news after your recovery.

Great news is always good to get! Good luck with the thoracic disectomy.
That is so great for you to share. So much on this post, including my own, is reflective of all of the negative things on pain issues. To read that after a two year fight you have a diagnosis for something that is correctable is really inspiring. I am so glad you decided not to log in again since your issue seems to be close to resolving.
It is very important that we hear the good news too!!
I wish you all the best and I hope the surgery works perfectly. Please keep us posted.
You are so right, no one should have to go through pain silently, Im so sorry to hear went through, and hopefully people learn from others mistakes and triumphs in this forum :)
And thanks so much for the kind words Tuck, I too hope my journey of pain ends soon! Im so excited ,I know not the to get my hopes up too high but its so nice to think about. I might even get to start college this summer or fall !
Hi Sunshine,
WONDERFUL. I am so very happy for you. It is great news. And thank you for sharing with us. Testaments that there is a light at the end of the tunnel is heart warming and gives many of our members hope.
I know exactly the feeling. I went for years being told there was nothing wrong with me. Many of you know my saga. I was labeled a drug seeker and some thought I was crazy. I even had a pain therapist that I saw once label me a malingerer. I gave up and suffered with severe pain for years. I wouldn't even tell a physician about my pain. NEVER should anyone be forced to take my route and suffer needlessly. When I was finally diagnosed (quite by accident) five years ago there are no words to describe how great I felt.
But back to you. I am so very glad for you. I hope your painful journey is almost at an end. Just having your pain recognized and confirmed should make you feel like your name, Sunshine. I hope our members that are in similar situations take heart in your positive ending in your search for answers.
Please continue to keep us updated. I will look forward to your posts.
Peace, Tuck
