Hi!
Apart from pregnancy and miscarriage, contractions occurring on and off can be due to ovarian cyst, kidney stones, gas in the abdomen and IBS, bladder infection. You should ideally get an ultrasound of the abdomen as a preliminary test. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
