what kind of doctor does a football player go to when he hurts his ribs?
Hi Again Feathers,
As you see emails will will not display on our board. A better way to respond would be to send you a Personal Message (PM) on this site if you do not want others to view it.
At the very least your sisters pain should be better managed. I would have her consult her PMP for better pain control.
My only suggestion is to keep searching. I know how very frustrating it can be. Has see been seen by a Internal Medicine Doctor of Osteopathy? That is who finally diagnosed my condition when no one else could...or would.
Please let us know how she is doing.
Best of Luck to You Both,
Tuck

I agree with Tuck. She has given you some excellent advice. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
I am sorry your sister is going through so much pain. She has a wonderful sister beside her though.
Perhaps she should join the community here also, having someone who understands to talk to does wonders:)
Sorry to hear about your sister. If I understand your post correctly she is suffering all this pain since she has a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal).
I suggest that your sister consult another surgeon. Obviously one that is not connected to the surgeon that performed her surgery. If there is a large teaching hospital in your state I suggest that she consult a surgeon there.
My next option would be a Neurologist or an Internal Medicine Physician. I agree that if the pain began post-surgically something may have been damaged during the procedure.
Best of luck to you and your sister. I hope you will let us know how she is doing.
Take Care,
~Tuck~
