Thanks for posting Sandee. You prove that when we have un-managed pain, even while we are on opiate therapy we should be open to change. Often we become comfortable with our current medication regimen and hesitate to try alternatives.
Of interest is that the FDA just recently approved hydromorphone HCl in extended-release tablets. Hydromorhine is thought to be 8-10 times stronger than morphine, but with a lower risk of dependency. Because of that it is generally preferred over morphine in many areas which has now come to include chronic pain.
I am very glad to hear that this has been a very effective change for you. I appreciate that you shared this with our members. As I have posted many times in the past, we all learn from one another.
I hope this will continue to be an effective tool in your pain management.
Blessings,
~Tuck
Oh Sandee that is great news .I am so glad you are pain free .It's funny how things seem to work out for the best sometimes.

Thanks! Maybe others will find some much needed relief this way too!
I am on my iphone and had to continue here sorry. I have never even condidered changing medications and now I am so glad I was forced to. I have not been this pain free in a really long time now. The last time my medicines were increased was over a year ago and I knew that it was time to increase but did not want to so I kept putting it off. Anyways I am glad to say it was a great appointment today. The girls start school soon so I will be here much more. I know Tuck and all the other great members here have been working so hard so I will be glad to get back and help out. I really miss it:)
Oh My Goodness!!!
I'm SOOOOO Happy for YOU!!!!!
Who would have thought that the price increase would turn out to be a BLESSING in DISGUISE for you!
It just goes to show you that SOMETIMES it pays to CHANGE your Medications around. IF you hadn't HAD to change you NEVER would have known!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!.........Sherry
I'm so happy for you! That's amazing.
