Is it ethical in your opinion to not prescribe methadone for chronic pain after pt has been on it 2+ years with nothing but great relief ~then force an addiction clinic on them instead for that medication? Doctors have GOT to know how badly this trend affects the patient who already suffered before finding methadone.

Me from reducing my meds. Id like to hear any positives you've experienced with the drug. Of course understanding that we're all different and will react differently.

If youre willing, could you tell me what you were on prior to the methadone? Thanks for your input.

Hi - I'd like to ask you about the methadone if you don't mind. Im sorry you're having to go to an addiction clinic to get it and no - I dont think that's right. It makes you feel like you're taking it for the wrong reasons.  That isn't fair to you.

I'm in the position of having my new doctor (paliative care), be pushing for me to use methadone. I understand the receptor reaction difference and have heard that some have good redults. I just don't want to risk the fatigue side effects and others plus, I'd also rather start trying to taper off what im on thsn try something new which might keep
