Need to change my time release, but to what???

I have a LONG history of meds and pain.  Never over use them but use what they give me for sure.  I currently have been taking Fentanyl for one year.  I have not liked it since the day I started but it took the place of 10 percacet a day so better for my liver they told me.  I am going into to see my dr and need to switch off the fentanyl.  Is there any easy way way to do this and what would be a good option in place of it????  I place one 12mcg patch on every other day and one 25mcg patch.  Main reason for stopping is weight gain which is drawing me into major deppression.
Any advice is good advice.

Thank you so much.  I did go in and switch off the Fentanyl Patch 50mcg to Oxycotin 20mg 3x a day.  I was very very sick the first two nights so I called my doctor.   She said to take one more Oxycotin to get the relief from withdrawls at night.  The withdrawls get better everyday.  I am shaky, feel like a million bugs are crawling all over my skin.  It has been 4 days now and I slept last night finally.  Should it get better as the Fentanyl leaves my system or worse?  I am having 30 people for Thanksgiving and my husband had knee surgery on Wednesday so it is interesting around here.  Of course all three kids are out of school all week too.  I think if I make it through a few more days I will make it right?????  Can use any advice support!!!!!  Oh and my stomach is a mess.  Is that the Oxycotin?

You may feel some withdrawals from the Fentanyl, but with the oxycontin, it shouldn't be too bad. Once the fentantyl is completely out of your system the oxy will work better, just give yourself some time to feel the relief, it may take a bit. Good luck to you!

Thank you for answering this.  I saw the doctor today and I went cold turkey off the patches.  I was on 32mcg of Fentanyl and now 20mg oxycotin three times a day.  I don't feel too horrible YET but only been off the patch for 7 hours.
Thanks for the support.  I really hope this works out for me.

If percocet worked well for you, Oxycontin would probably help you.
