New Pain in my left knee

Hi everyone,

Hi as some of you know I have a SCS (Spinal Cord Stim) implanted for L4-L5 L5-S1 nerve pain which now also includes not just my left leg but also now my right let. I am taking Lyrica, and Pain meds to help out. Well this morning I work up in ext pain but it was coming from my left knee. It work my up from a dead sleep. I also take sleeping pills for insomina. This still hurts now 2 hrs after waking up. I thought mabey I just slept wrong. But it is still not going away. I was wondering if anyone else that has the SCS unit for pain are starting to have pain in other areas that the SCS unit sends signals too. My left leg is why I got the unit implanted for pain, but now with this new pain in my knee I dont know why it is there. Any help would be apperciated.

Adam, sorry you are having more pain to deal with! I don't know what to tell you, but I sure would be interested in knowing if it is coming from the SCS unit - I am having the test for it on Thursday the 15th. I agree with Tuckamore and Mollyrae; I'd call the doctor or rep who installed the unit. Good luck!

Adam,

I am so very sorry that you are having new pain. As you probably know I do not have experience with the SCS. I think there are others that may be able to help you with your question better than I.

That said, I would encourage you to call the physician that implanted the SCS and inform him of the new pain. It must be discouraging for you. I hope this new pain will not be long term, possibly you "laid on it wrong" or strained it without knowing it.

Good luck to you. I am hoping you will also keep posting and let us know how you are doing. You know we all care about you and your pain. Please keep your chin up till you have a diagnosis. And as always, Take Care, Tuck

Gosh Hawk, I don't know what your pain could be caused from. I guess I would recommend making a visit to the Doc. Let them investgate. It won't hurt. I have not heard of anyone having pain in other places from a SCS unit. Like I said, go siee the Doc and let us know how your doing. Please take care,
Mollyrae
