Wow, you have really been through a lot! I'm so sorry you had such a terrible accident and I hope you have been able to rebuild your life. My husband had a terrible MVA about 10 years ago where he died on the scene and it was very traumatic for him. It took him a number of years to recover physically and emotionally.
As Jaybay told you (and she's a lady, by the way ;), they are the same thing. There is definetly a generic of Norco available, though, and unless your doctor has a reason for writing your prescription "brand name specified", there should be no problem with asking the pharmacist for the generic. I would have a talk with your PM doc about it.
I wish you all the best!
hey thanks for the info I will check it out. This is very new to me I have never shared anything with anyone. I do not abuse my med at all Dr. gives me Norco. Morophine, Valium, and a drug to help me focus throughout the day. I have plenty because she understands my pain, I have metal inside most of my shoulders, hips, pulvis. fumers. patillas. both shin bones. etc... Most bones were outside my body when they broke. Then truck caught on fire and started getting burn alive. So I have 3rd degree burns throughout my body which contains multible skin graphs. Luckly none on the face area, but the operations were more then any chronic pain. It goes on but luckly I do too. Thanks for the time.
Great minds think alike huh!!! lol

We have a pain management forum also and they are very helpful. You could ask them as i am sure some of them have run into this too........sara
I would call the pharmacy and talk with them. They should be able to help with this. sara
There's a pain management forum here on medhelp. You may have better luck over there.
yea your correct i have a pain Dr. and she gives me Norco, she probable knows whats best. I just hated to question her she has been with me for about 2 years. The Norco are three times more expensive ans sometimes my insurance doesn't pay. That leaves with a bill of 125.00 for 120 pills.See the quigmire? Thanks for the response. Stevie59
I don't know the difference sorry. I just know Norco is much more expensive, didn't know what to look for or whats stronger so I wouldn't have to take so many of the stronger ones.
Norco IS hydrocodone. It's just a brand name.
