Pain

I feel like I am running out of hope that my doctors will find anything to help with my pain. I need someone who understands being pain all day every day to help me keep my hope alive. My family is amazing but none of them have or are going through what I am. I am tired of hurting...

I'm so sorry you're having this terrible pain.  I can commiserate on having constant pain at a young age (I'm 28, too), and I know it's particularly hard to not be able to work.  It must be even harder and really scary to have pain in your chest and while breathing.  I have a pain that comes and goes that is in my upper back and it's particularly scary to me as it seems like it's not skeletal or muscular but some sort of organ.

Has anyone done an MRI on your chest?  If they haven't I would definelty ask for one.  Also have you seen a Pulmonary specialist?  I wonder if it could be broken or bruised ribs that haven't healed?

I read your post in the auto-immune forum and saw that you had high levels in the test for lupus but they ruled it out?  One of our members here has lupus and I believe it does cause her pain but I really don't know much about it more than that.

The important thing we can do for you here is to let you know you're not alone in having constant/chronic pain.  There are also several of us dealing with this in our 20s.  I know it's so frustrating to have pain but no diagnosis.  It can also be very scary.  I hope you are able to find out soon what is going on.  We are here for you and here to talk to as you go through this!

I have no idea what is causing me so much pain. The doctors still don't know. I have to see an auto immune specialist on the 28th. Maybe she can help me out but so far all the testing I have had done, has come back normal. I am on hydrocodone, IB Profen and Cymbalta for my pain but it isn't getting rid of the pain. It is all in my chest. Mostly in the front of my chest. It is a very very bad ache and I have stabbing pain but the stabbing pain seems to be only in my arm pit area. It just happens randomly too. Nothing I do or eat brings it on or makes it worse. If I do too much, cleaning or riding in a car for too long, then the next day I am very bad but it is a constant pain. It is so bad in the morning and sometimes I can't even get out of bed to take my medication because of the pain. It hurts to move. Some times I have to sleep down stairs because moving up the stairs hurts as well. I also have a very bad amount of pressure in my chest. Just my upper chest. Having a blanket on sometimes makes it hard for me to breath due to the pain/pressure. I have had to move back in with my parents so they can help me out with basic things and bills.

Thank you so much for helping me

Hi there, sorry your having a bad day. Could I ask you what is causing the kind of pain do you have? and also what are your  Dr.s doing for your pain?  If you don't mind being a bit more specific with me maybe I can give you some opinions. (ok?)
