I hope this doc can shed some light and beable to tell me what is wrong. Thanks guys and I will tell you whats up. Bye for now
Hi Carlybell,
Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am so sorry that you are having such pain. And I am sorry I am tardy in this response to you. I too had a bad night.
It sounds like you have been to physicians with no diagnosis. I do not know when and what speciality physicians you have seen but I encourage you to not give up. Have you seen a D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathy)? They function just like M.D.'s. I went years undiagnosed until I stumbled across an Internal Medicine D.O. in her first year of practice. I had even quit telling any physician about my pain. The members here know my story well but that DO saved my life. She recognized my pain and found the reason behind it. After years of being looked at as crazy or a drug seeker in some of WI largest clinic's and by some of the "best" specialists I had given up. By the time I was correctly diagnosed (in a very small town clinic) my condition, SIJ Dysfunction had gone far too long untreated. It will never improve and I am now permanently disabled. I was (and am) just relieved to have a diagnosis.
I encourage you to not give up. I wish I hadn't. Go to a new clinic and see new physicians. Sometimes fresh eyes or thinking outside the box is what is needed for those of us whom are difficult to diagnosis. There is a reason for your pain and someone will discover that reason. Going to the same physician that has no answers, again and again is like beating your head against the wall. Your anger is a normal reaction. If all else fails than request a referral to a Pain Management Clinic.
We are here to support you in any way that we can. Good luck to you. Please keep us posted and let us know how you are doing. I will look forward to your updates with interest. Take Care, Tuck
Hello carlybell:
I am sorry for the discomfort you are experiencing. You sound like a carbon copy of myself. I too suffer from the exact symptoms. I have had all the nerve and muscle studies done that one can think of and still no diagnosis.
I do suffer from Hepatitis which can make your nerves and muscles act out but not to my degree. I guess I shouldn't say that because the Doctors don't know wnough about the disease yet. Have you had any blood work done?? Any nerve and muscle studies?? That would be my first step. Let me know more about the tests you've had.......
Take care,
Mollyrae
